Design brief

To design and develop a table linin collection using tradition techniques and methods of block printing.

The Blue Afternoon

"A Blue Afternnoon" is a table linen collection which is handblock printed and dyed. The collection derives it theme from the blue mosque in Istanbul, offically known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. The inspiration of the motifs, patterns and colors are derived from the interiors as the mosque is the reflection of the ottoman era.

The vivid color palette of blue and green is followed throughout the collection. All the materials used are sustainable and natural. The main focus of the collection is the grandeur that it portrays. It carries a warm afternoon lunch feels in a royal courtyard. The color, silhouette, products, surface enhancement techniques etc. all are very well blended together to create a whimsical experience.

I remain available to answer any questions or clarifications.
